ACPI VPC2004 device driver for Windows 7, XP, 10, 8, and 8.1. Driver para el dispositivo ACPI VPC2004 para Windows 7, XP, 10, 8, y 8.1. Lenovo Global Support Home. Lenovo Global Support Home. Why do i see many drivers? Below is a list of drivers that may be suitable for your device. With the different devices, they can have the same driver, it's because they all use the same chip manufacturer. How to select driver? If you are looking for an update, pickup the latest one. If your driver isn't working, use the driver having the same OEM with the your laptop/desktop brand name. Hello all, I'm just trying to get some help to resolve a missing driver/unknown device issue and hope that someone here can help. I spent over half an hour waiting in the queue for Lenovo Live Chat Support earlier today and when it came to me being at position 1 in the queue my chat session was cancelled and it said that chat was unavailable and to try later. I have also done a lot of googling and tried several drivers to solve this issue. Lenovo drivers for this notebook are all for Windows 10 only except for maybe two of the drivers on the website. It is a UK Ideapad 310-15ISK 80M with an Intel i3, 8gb ram. The Lenovo driver download page for this notebook has an ACPI driver and the Lenovo Utility for windows 10 64 bit but there is no Lenovo energy Management download. I have removed the windows 10 5400rpm hard drive (this has never been used as the notebook is brand new) and installed a new Samsung Evo SSD and then installed Windows 7 Pro 64. I have evrything installed and running really great but I am missing just this one driver for the unknown device, which has the hardware ID ACPI VPC2004 and is listed as other devices Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller. I understand that this requires either ACPI driver, Lenovo Energy Management or Lenovo Utility software. I have tried various versions of these and whilst the device appears to be installed correctly, I find that the function hotkeys for flight mode, mic on/off, volume up down etc don't all work and it also causes system instability whereby it will hang on trying to open programs, access files on a dvd and even causes norton internet security to malfunction. Also trying to shut down or restart takes a long long time. After uninstalling the drivers or software back to the unknown device showing in device manager everything functions great again. Installing only the Lenovo Utility software does not clear the device exclamation from device manager, yet one Lenovo support page that I read for this notebook said that this is the solution to the problem. I'm extremely clued up and savvy with all this normally and have just recently installed Windows 7 on several new Lenovo notebooks that were windows 8 and 10 and had this exact same issue but I managed solve it finding drivers to make them run perfectly. This one I just can't **bleep**. I can't see why Lenovo don't provide drivers for Windows 7, 8 and 10 for all their products as the vast majority of PC's in the world are still running Windows 7 and it is still supported by Microsoft. The amount of people who come to me and ask me to get rid of windows 8 and 10 and put windows 7 on their machines (both new and older machines) is evidence that most people do not want windows 8 or 10. I hope Lenovo or someone here is able to help me resolve this problem as I really am out of ideas! Many thanks for your valued time and assistance with this problem. After rummaging around on the Lenovo website, I found the following versions of the Lenovo 'Energy Mangement' application. This older version worked on the 700: as did this newer version (even though it has a lower version number): Both versions include the battery conservation mode, but the older one limits charging to 80%, whereas the newer one limits charging to 60%. Both include the missing driver.
